Pick of the Ricks is proud to be the exclusive dealer for the Treble Bezel.

It is the perfect solution for owners of the Rickenbacker 4001 and 4003 series who prefer to play with the Treble pickup cover off.
The treble bezel eliminates the sharp edges and the unattractive pickup cavity that removal of the pickup cover reveals.

The Treble Bezels are CNC machined out of high strength black ABS plastic. They are top coated with a soft touch clear urethane .
This clear top coat resist scratches,stains and fingerprints.

The factory pickup height adjustment feature remains unchanged.
Designed and made in the U.S.A. 
These are hand finished, dated and numbered.

Available in 3 styles:

  • Standard
  • Cove (Recessed Finger or Thumb Rest)
  • Deluxe (Raised Finger or Thumb Rest)

 

Note: Some early 4003 Rickenbackers had the straight 4001 style chrome surround without the step down.Make sure you specify what style chrome surround is on your bass when placing your order. 

If you have the Straight style chrome surround you'll need to order a 4001 series Treble Bezel.

    I got the 4001 treble bezel with thumb rest for my 4003. It was easy to fit, looks great and makes finger playing much easier. Since the bezel adds 3mm to the pickup spring/screw assembly, I didn't put the wee rubber washers back on.

    It installs easily, looks like it was meant to be there from the factory, provides a very comfortable thumb rest, and lets me finger pick directly above the treble pick-up. Couldn't be happier!

    Awesome piece, easy install, looks fantastic and fits like a glove. Used the 4001 model for my '81 4003, worked great. It even worked great with the old Bartolini replacement pickup, fits perfectly, so I'm sure original pickups will fit the same.If you've ever thought about getting one, don't hesitate, do it right now!

    Was hesitant to take off the treble pick up metal piece as I've always thought the exposed sides around the treble pickup cheapened the look of the 4001 bass...until now! The treble bezel 4001 standard fill piece makes the bass look like it was made in the factory. I like getting rid of that bulky metal cover too. Highly recommend!

    This is one of those pieces that once you install it and try it out, you say to yourself, "why didn't I think of that?"

    Finally a piece that looks great, fills in the space where the treble pickup cover was and gives you a thumb rest.

    Excellent craftsmanship, very useful, makes my Rick very easily playable with a spot to put my thumb comfortably.
