Instrument serial number and model number are also required. This procedure is required by Rickenbacker for us to obtain a new tailpiece. Although they are inconvenient, these policies exist for everyone's protection.

The service and support from Pick of the ricks was excellent. The item which is a rickenbacker 12 string tail piece is not very well made unfortunately, good looking but made of a casted material which should be of better quality.
But Chris and pick of the ricks excellent!

I've been a Rickenbacker owner since 1969. I remain completely disappointed in how the Rickenbacker company chose to treat it's loyal customers. The reps at Rickenbacker told me that Pick Of The Ricks was the real deal. On principle alone, I decided to get the part (Replacement R 12 string Tailpiece) from Chris, rather than give Rickenbacker list price on their defective R Tailpiece. Chris is a true pro, and quickly processed my order and shipment. The replacement part seems better made than what came on my guitar. 5 stars for Pick Of The Ricks!

Even though I knew it was likely to happen one day, it was a shock to find that the tailpiece on my 1991 black trim 610/12 suffered from exploding tailpiece syndrome. While I knew that I could replace the tailpiece, I didn't want a chrome finished one nor did I want to switch to a trapeze tailpiece.
I'm very glad to find that Pick of the Ricks carried replacement R-style tailpieces in black.
The tailpiece is a chrome R, expertly painted in black. Rickenbacker no longer makes black tailpieces and recommends painting a chrome replacement. Pick of The Ricks has done an excellent job, much better than I would have done myself and sparing me the trouble of finding the correct paint.
If your black trim Rickenbacker ever suffers from a broken tailpiece, this is the part to get.
My 610/12 is back to normal, looking like it should.

I was kept informed of all the aspects of this sale. I found the service personable and the product reliable and shipped safely. I would strongly recommend anyone to go here instead of the head honchos in Santa Ana. Too unreliable in California. Go New Jersey!

Horrible rickenbacker Quality control replacement R tailpiece

Six of the twelve slits where not properly machined and where only between 1/16’ and 1/8” deep, three others where deep enough but closed at the ball end by thick chromed burrs.
I spend hours filing, trying not to scratch the chrome, before I was able to string my Rick.
On top of that, there are chromed burrs every where on the edges. It is obvious that this piece never was inspected and or finished before chromed.
