You can't get any better. Yes, they are expensive, but they maintain their playability longer, which offsets the price.

Just completed construction of my first guitar - a 24.75" scale 12 string. Read the reviews and (skeptically) bought the Thomastiks. Worth every cent. The sound is tight, intonation is easy and they stay in tune for days. The only thing I wonder is if other flat wounds (cheaper) would perform as well. However, if these strings last as long as other reviews suggest, I will never use anything else.

I'm a new owner of a Rickenbacker 330-12. I've always known that flatwound strings are a must for these guitars if you want the perfect sound and these strings nail it! As stated, these Thomastiks are a custom set and they fit just fine on a Rickenbacker, without having to file the nut. After putting these strings on, my guitar never sounded so alive! The feel of the strings are fantastic and they play great, plus they stay in tune very well. They are pricier than many other strings out there but this set is of the best quality! The Thomastik-Infeld custom 12-string set from Pick of the Ricks is the only set of strings I'll put on my Rickenbacker. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Yes , the are pricey - but worth every penny! They have a silky feel , and although it may be counter-intuitive : low tension and a nice ring to them.
If you are into the sound of the British Invasion and the attendant spin-offs,
this is the set that gets you there. And the price is mitigated by the fact that these strings last a very long time. Very , very long. So if you're on the fence about getting them , jump in! You will not be disappointed.

I've had my Rickenbacker 660/12 for 17 years. It took 15 of those years trying to find the right strings for the guitar. I tried Pyramids and just about every other brand that people recommend for Rick 12's. I was using a combination set that I put together when someone told me about the custom TI set at PoTR. It would have saved me a lot of time and trouble if I'd learned of them sooner. They are PERFECT strings for a Rick 12. Long lasting, a good feel with lower tension than the Pyramids, and great tone. Love 'em!

The second set of these strings I've purchased through pick of the ricks for my 12 string 360- delighted by the sound of these strings combined with the toaster pick ups.As others have said, these strings really last! only starting to lose their sparkle now after 12 months.
Getting ever closer to that elusive Byrds sound.

I've used TI strings before so this review is more about he excellent service from Pick of the Ricks. They arrived in superfast time which is really impressive given the distance. The TI strings are great as always. Thanks guys.

I was hestitant at first with purchasing these strings, mainly because of the cost. However, I discovered through others that they last longer than conventional strings, so the cost is a "wash" when compared to how many times I change strings on this RIC 370-12. Secondly, the tonal qualities in these strings are just hands down the best these ears have heard. I am now a convert, and will use these strings in the future.

This last month has been all about rediscovery. I've had every intention of selling my 620/12 for the last two years because it's just never sounded like I imagined it should. As a last ditch effort, I replaced the Hi-Gains with a set of Curtis Novak Toasters, and while the improvements were immediate, I still felt like something was missing. Having used Rickenbacker's strings and Curt Mangan in the past, I decided to take the plunge into Thomastik Infeld territory. If you have any doubts as to whether it's worth it or not, I promise you won't be disappointed. Classic tone from the moment you tune up, and they're a joy to play. These are the only strings for your Ric.

Been using these on my Danelectro Hodad 12 for a couple years now. They feel and sound great and best of all they stay in tune!
