I've had my Rickenbacker 660/12 for 17 years. It took 15 of those years trying to find the right strings for the guitar. I tried Pyramids and just about every other brand that people recommend for Rick 12's. I was using a combination set that I put together when someone told me about the custom TI set at PoTR. It would have saved me a lot of time and trouble if I'd learned of them sooner. They are PERFECT strings for a Rick 12. Long lasting, a good feel with lower tension than the Pyramids, and great tone. Love 'em!

The second set of these strings I've purchased through pick of the ricks for my 12 string 360- delighted by the sound of these strings combined with the toaster pick ups.As others have said, these strings really last! only starting to lose their sparkle now after 12 months.
Getting ever closer to that elusive Byrds sound.

I've used TI strings before so this review is more about he excellent service from Pick of the Ricks. They arrived in superfast time which is really impressive given the distance. The TI strings are great as always. Thanks guys.

I was hestitant at first with purchasing these strings, mainly because of the cost. However, I discovered through others that they last longer than conventional strings, so the cost is a "wash" when compared to how many times I change strings on this RIC 370-12. Secondly, the tonal qualities in these strings are just hands down the best these ears have heard. I am now a convert, and will use these strings in the future.

This last month has been all about rediscovery. I've had every intention of selling my 620/12 for the last two years because it's just never sounded like I imagined it should. As a last ditch effort, I replaced the Hi-Gains with a set of Curtis Novak Toasters, and while the improvements were immediate, I still felt like something was missing. Having used Rickenbacker's strings and Curt Mangan in the past, I decided to take the plunge into Thomastik Infeld territory. If you have any doubts as to whether it's worth it or not, I promise you won't be disappointed. Classic tone from the moment you tune up, and they're a joy to play. These are the only strings for your Ric.

Been using these on my Danelectro Hodad 12 for a couple years now. They feel and sound great and best of all they stay in tune!

I've purchased and installed thomastik/infeld flatwound strings on my 64' gretsch country gentleman and loved the feel and tone I experienced. I loved them so much that when I recently purchased a 90' rickenbacker 360/12v64 I thought why not?, and began seeking out a set of flat wounds for the ric as well. After finding the set I was looking for through pick of the ricks and installing them I noticed that same great feel and tone I've come accustomed to. From now on, I'm (stik)ing with ThomaSTIK/ Infeld strings they're the best!

These strings, along with a good setup, will help you get a great sound and wonderful feel out of your Rickenbacker 12. Mine's a 330-12 from 1997, and when I took possession of it it was strung up with some roundwounds of unknown origin. I tore those rancid strings off faster than you can say Thomastik-Infeld and put these flatwound beauties on. A few truss rod tweaks later and my 12er is playing like butter and I'm nailing those Hard Day's Night tones I bought the guitar for in the first place. These strings are pricey but you get what you pay for.

These strings made my Rick 360/12 a bit easier to play, and have a very nice sound. I'm glad Pick of the Ricks offers them.

Thomastik-Infeld flatwound strings are the closest match I have found to original 1960s and 1970s Maxima strings, as branded by and for Rickenbacker...and believe me, I've played many collected NOS of such instruments. Their low tension makes them last, literally, for years. Thank goodness POTR offers a set for electric 12-string.
Quick turnaround and great communication go without saying. Thanks as always!
