The Treble Bezels are CNC machined out of high strength black ABS plastic. They are top coated with a soft touch clear urethane .
This clear top coat resist scratches, stains and fingerprints.
The factory pickup height adjustment feature remains unchanged.

Note: Some early 4003 Rickenbackers had the straight 4001 style chrome surround without the step down.Make sure you specify what style chrome surround is on your bass when placing your order.
If you have the Straight style chrome surround you'll need to order a 4001 series Treble Bezel.

I was in search for a few replacement parts for my 1982 Rickenbacker 4003, I stumbled across this site, found what I needed, asked a few questions about the product, and was promptly answered, I had "thee best" service ever ! Ok,.. now with product review, The Rickenbacker Treble bezel cover is a top quality product when needing to cover the bridge pickup cavity. It is made of some sort of hardened rubber, and very durable. Installation was a cinch ! and gives it a distinct aesthetic look, instead of the Big Void that exists if you are the kind of player that plays with the treble pickup cover removed (like most do). The product feels a lot better under my fingers when I'm playing rather than catching the sharper edges of the chrome pickup surround ! I highly recommend this product !!!

bought my dream bass (4003) only to find i just couldn't play it with the bridge fitted)..was mortified by the reality of having a gapping big void around the pick up,then just by chance i discovered this product.Armed with a set of screw drivers a polishing cloth and box of tissues(incase it all endded in tears),these things usually do when i,m involved, i discovered it was really simple to fit. What a result, the part fits beautifully and the bass now is brilliant to play...would recomend this product to any Rick owner...top job

I always remove the trebel pickup cover from all of my Rickenbacker basses. For years I have just lived with the gap between the pickup and the surround, but now I have a trebel bezel on all 4 of my Rickenbacker basses. I prefer the standard version and while it doesn't do anything functionally, it looks great and adds an extra classy touch to the bass.

I got the deluxe version and have turned it upside down, so I can get a grip with my little finger when picking. It works and looks very good.

Recently purchased the bass of my dreams, a Fireglo 4003 Rick, and can't put it down. The pickup guard did make it difficult to find a comfortable position to finger pick and also play where I normally would with a pick but the deluxe treble bezel solved both of those minor problems with a great aesthetic as well. Fairly easy to fit but some instructions with the minor pitfalls that may come up should be included although there are plenty of places on the net to find out how to accomplish it (youtube video the best one).

I recently purchased a new 4003 Rickenbacker bass in Fireglo. Wow!! What a bass. It looks awesome and sounds and plays even better. Anyway, the first mod I made was to remove the chrome plastic treble pickup oover. It was not so much a hinderence as far as playing, but I just found it kinda unattractive. I removed it and found a large gap around the area, in it's absence. This was easily solved by the purchase of the treble bezel, offered by Pick of the Ricks company. I received the bezel in no time and the fit and finish was second to none. Installation was easy for me, being adequately mechanically inclined, and from following a great video on YouTube. The only minor gripe I had was that the treble pickup does not have a chrome metal cover on it, as does the bass one near the neck. I saw one was offered at Pick of the Ricks, but after speaking with Chris, at POTR, I found it needed some modifications to install. I am still pursuing this matter, in the future, as I really think this would be the crowning touch for the modification.

Excellent product, to minutes to install, looks way better than the ugly gaps.

Puts my Ric back in play for giging. Easier to use a pick (because pickup cover is removed) and just feels better finger picking. I installed the deluxe and the bass is just more versatile plus it looks great.

The bezel gives uncovered pups a cool look and and a decent thumb rest (deluxe model). A recommended purchase.
